Glide Pro

When you upgrade an app to Pro, Glide branding is removed and you can use your own custom domain name instead of a glideapp.io link. You can also use Pro Options & Components.

Upgrading your app to Pro

To upgrade an app to Pro, choose Upgrade App in the top left of Glide.

This removes the Glide branding and allows you to configure a custom domain.

Configuring a custom domain

First, register a domain name if you haven't already. We recommend Google Domains.

Subdomain (Recommended)
Top-level domain
CAA Records

Let's assume you want to use the domain SUBDOMAIN.mywebsite.com.

In your domain's DNS settings, create a CNAME record, where SUBDOMAIN is replaced with your subdomain. For example, if your custom domain is app.dundermifflin.com, use app as your subdomain:

Name

Type

TTL

Data

SUBDOMAIN

CNAME

1h

custom.glideapps.com.

Next, verify ownership of your domain. Copy your DNS Auth ID within Glide:

Then add a TXT record, replacing SUBDOMAIN and DNS Auth ID with your subdomain and auth ID:

Name

Type

TTL

Data

_glideauthid.SUBDOMAIN

TXT

1h

DNS Auth ID

For a top-level domain like mycompany.com, add an A record in your domain's DNS settings:

Name

Type

TTL

Data

@

A

1h

35.232.39.116

Next, verify ownership of your domain. Copy your DNS Auth ID within Glide:

Then add a TXT record, replacing DNS Auth ID with your auth ID:

Name

Type

TTL

Data

_glideauthid

TXT

1h

DNS Auth ID

If you have configured CAA records for your domain, you must add letsencrypt.org as a valid CA for your domain. Note that CAA records apply to subdomains as well.

The best method of dealing with a CAA record is to set the CAA record for the subdomain you wish to use for the app itself to be letsencrypt.org

You can double-check your records with this tool. Please wait ten minutes after updating your DNS settings before you continue.

Set your custom domain in Glide

Once your domain is configured and verified, you can set it in your app's settings.
